Ignacio House Welcomes Students and Faculty at Fordham Prep for Community Reflection

A few weeks ago, the Ignacio House and Fordham Preparatory School communities came together for a heartwarming evening of prayer, reflection, and community building. The event was held at Ignacio House, where students, faculty, and resident scholars gathered to celebrate Mass, share a meal, and engage in thoughtful conversation.

Fr. Helmut, a visiting Jesuit from Austria who has been working with Thrive For Life for the last several months, presided over the Mass, bringing the two communities together in a shared expression of faith. His inspiring message highlighted the importance of unity, collaboration, and supporting one another in our spiritual journeys. The Mass provided a unique opportunity for both communities to strengthen their bonds and foster meaningful connections.

Following the Mass, the communities enjoyed a delicious meal prepared by resident scholars and the Fordham Prep students, during which they exchanged stories and ideas, allowing for greater understanding and appreciation of each other's experiences. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and camaraderie, as our brothers from both Ignacio House and Fordham Prep discovered common ground and formed lasting bonds of community.

We were deeply moved by the palpable sense of unity and caring that emerged throughout the evening. Thrive For Life is particularly grateful for Fordham Prep's commitment to our mission and expressed enthusiasm for future collaborations between our two communities.

As Ignacio House and Fordham Prep continue their partnership, we look forward to furthering our work of nurturing spiritual growth, fostering educational opportunities, and promoting social justice. The success of this recent event underscores the power of coming together as one community, united in faith and friendship.

In the weeks and months to come, both Ignacio House and Fordham Prep are eager to explore new ways to support each other and work together in the spirit of their shared values and beliefs. This evening of togetherness was just the beginning of a fruitful and enduring collaboration.
