Support Thrive For Life This Giving Tuesday on Nov. 29!
On November 29, we will celebrate the tremendous generosity of our many donors and supporters committed to transforming lives behind and beyond the prison walls. Last year, we embarked on an ambitious journey to bring our successful Ignacio House model to other geographic regions around the United States. Thanks be to God, this dream is now a reality. In partnership with Marquette University and the Capuchin Friars, Thrive For Life has laid the foundation for a brand new house of studies in Milwaukee, WI where returning citizens will continue their college education while living in a safe and stable community. In addition, in partnership with Fr. Brian Shanley and St. John’s University, we will open the very first Ignacio House for women returning home from prison as they pursue their studies in a variety of degree-bearing programs. And of course we give thanks to His Eminence Timothy Cardinal Dolan who this year gifted us a former convent to bring Ignacio House right here to Manhattan!
As we prepare for the giving season, we invite you to support our ministry as we continue our journey of national expansion. In the coming year, we will work to bring Ignacio House to Washington, DC, New Orleans, LA, and St. Louis, MO in partnership with our growing network of university and community partners. Your generosity allows us to bring our continuity of care to more and more people continuing the good work of college education. With the recent restoration of Pell Grants for incarcerated students, an estimated 436,000 people will finally be eligible once again to pursue an education, sparking lasting transformation. Join us on this road as we work to transform lives behind and beyond the prison walls!
