New Building for New Ignacio House in Milwaukee

After the successful launch of our Bronx-based Ignacio House of Studies, Thrive For Life endeavored to bring our mission to transform lives behind and beyond the prison walls on the road to communities across the United States.

In that expansion, we hope to open brand new, self-sustaining Ignacio Houses all over to support those who have committed to the good work of education. The very first of these new houses will open in Milwaukee, Wisconsin thanks to the wonderful generosity of the Capuchin Franciscans.

Over these next several weeks and months, Thrive For Life will work with local community and education partners to ready this new house for our first cohort of Milwaukee resident scholars who will re-enter the community from jail and prison.

We are especially excited to partner with Marquette University and their Educational Preparedness Program (EPP) which will serve as a crucial resource for students as they continue their college education beyond the walls. EPP provides academic support, career building skills, and mentorship in collaboration with a consortium of education and community organizations in the greater-Milwaukee area.

We are incredibly grateful to all those who have made this ambitious first stage of national expansion possible. Join us as we continue to serve our brothers and sisters impacted by incarceration as they strive for transformation through education. We look forward to sharing more updates over the next several weeks and months!
