Thrive For Life Welcomes St. John's University to Ignacio House!
This past month, Thrive For Life was thrilled to welcome the team from St. John's University for a tour of our Ignacio House of Studies in Manhattan. The visit provided an opportunity to showcase our new space for our resident scholars and continue strategic planning for the launch of a new House of Studies for women reentering society in the Diocese of Brooklyn.
We are filled with immense gratitude and excitement for the enthusiasm shown by Fr. Brian Shanley and his team, as they share our vision of providing women with the opportunity to continue their college education upon release from prison. This collaboration aims to create an environment that empowers and equips women with the necessary skills and support to successfully reintegrate into society and build meaningful lives. Thanks to the generosity of St. John’s, several scholarships will be made available for these students continuing their education while they receive a holistic suite of supportive services at a new Ignacio House.
Our partnership with St. John's University marks an important milestone for Thrive For Life, as we strive to create a more inclusive and accessible pathway to higher education for individuals coming home from prison. We eagerly look forward to working together and witnessing the transformative impact this project will have on countless lives.
Stay tuned for updates on this inspiring journey, and thank you to the entire St. John’s community for your unwavering support in championing education and empowerment for all!
