Soaking Up Summer with Ignacio House!

This summer has been one filled with many graces at our Ignacio House of Studies. As scholars enjoy their recess from classes, we have had time to enjoy each other’s company and build community. As part of that effort, resident scholars and staff took a break from the busyness of the summer for a day of relaxation and enrichment, this time on Broadway!

Thanks to the hard work of Vivian, our Supportive Services Intern for the summer, the community came together to enjoy a showing of Baz Luhrmann’s Moulin Rouge at the Hirschfeld Theater here in New York City. Scholars and staff convened at our offices at Xavier to enjoy a late lunch together and then set out for the show. It was a day of fun and enrichment, thanks in large part to the diligent efforts of Vivian who coordinated ticket purchases, meals, and transportation. As the summer wraps up, we look forward to many more days like these where the community can take a break from their busy lives to spend time together as a community.
