Morgan Stanley Joins Thrive For Life for Global Volunteer Month!
On Friday, June 23rd, Thrive For Life was proud to welcome over 80 volunteers from Morgan Stanley in conjunction with their annual Global Volunteer Month. Volunteers reported to our house of studies to help prepare it for new residents. The day underscored the continuation of a new and flourishing partnership between Thrive For Life and the wonderful team at Morgan Stanley, following our participation in their annual Strategy Challenge, a pro bono program that partners with non-profits to tackle a strategic initiative.
After gathering in the cafeteria, where they were greeted with a short prayer led by Fr. Zach, they were assigned to four different teams led by Thrive For Life staff members and the leaders from Morgan Stanley – Kirsty, James, Adam, and Miranda. Everyone quickly got to work, painting the building, organizing rooms, and removing old furniture and items left behind by the building’s previous owners. The entire team then broke for a quick lunch break consisting of sandwiches, carefully prepared by our staff and some volunteers from Morgan Stanley. After lunch, the morning team left, and the afternoon team arrived, continuing the work from earlier, along with helping to fill up a massive dumpster. The day, of course, couldn’t be complete without a photo, and everyone went home satisfied with a job well done.
It was a blessing to have the Morgan Stanley volunteers join Thrive For Life and help deepen our partnership which we hope will continue over these next many months! We’d like to extend a huge thanks to everyone who showed up, especially the Morgan Stanley team leaders!
