Ignacio House Celebrates Thanksgiving!

On Sunday, November 28, members of the Thrive For Life family gathered together to break bread in celebration of the Thanksgiving holiday. Thanks to the hard work of Sebastian and our resident scholars at Ignacio House, everyone ate delicious dishes to their heart’s delight while enjoying each other’s company this holiday season. We were especially excited to welcome back some Ignacio House alumni, a few volunteers, and new staff members. Each resident scholar and guest prepared a separate dish, ranging from a host of sides, desserts, and turkeys.

At the conclusion of the meal, Fr. Zach took the opportunity to unveil our brand new 2021 Gratitude Report. This year, our report took the form of a calendar for the upcoming 2022 year. Each month features one of our resident scholars at Ignacio House and other folks who contribute their many talents to transforming lives behind and beyond the prison walls. The novel idea to adapt our traditional magazine report to the calendar spread came from none other than Omar, one of our current resident scholars at Ignacio House. As Fr. Zach showcased each month’s feature, he gave thanks for all of our brothers at Ignacio House and their hard work in their studies, jobs, and other pursuits beyond the walls.
