From Behind the Walls with Fr. Zach

As the world continues to wrangle with the pandemic, Fr. Zach has resumed his work behind the walls in jail and prisons in New York, bringing sacramental ministry to incarcerated citizens throughout the week. Currently, Fr. Zach divides his time between the state, federal, and local jails in the New York metropolitan area offering the Holy Eucharist, anointings, and confessions to our friends on the inside. Unfortunately, the ongoing public health emergency has prevented the full return of our spiritual retreats. However, thanks to the hard work of our volunteer spiritual mentors, folks behind the walls continue to receive robust spiritual guidance and materials to enhance their prayer lives while they navigate the difficult situations they experience while in custody. 

While we patiently await the green-light to return to our full in-person ministry, we ask for your continued support and prayers for our incarcerated brothers and sisters. While these current restrictions have posed many challenges, Fr. Zach and Thrive for Life have treated them as opportunities to find new and innovative ways to continue our important work.
