Engaging with Our Faith Community Partners!
On September 25, Fr. Zach and the Thrive For Life team visited St. Bartholomew’s Church in East Elmhurst, NY to celebrate the Holy Eucharist and be with our friends in the community who help us serve our brothers and sisters behind and beyond the walls. The faithful at St. Bart’s have been especially supportive of our ministry, offering their prayers and support to those we visit at the various prisons and jails throughout New York State. Between the Sunday Masses, the congregation fundraised to support Thrive For Life’s work to transform lives.
As we continue to grow our ministry, parishes throughout the metropolitan area play a crucial role not only in supporting the organization, but connecting us with families and loved ones impacted by incarceration who are in need of meaningful accompaniment. With access now to over 200 parishes throughout the Diocese of Brooklyn, we look forward to visiting and supporting more and more families as we seek to transform lives behind and beyond the prison walls.
As we enter the autumn season, Fr. Zach and our spiritual care team led by Pablo Jimenez will be visiting parishes throughout the five boroughs to share our ministry with parishioners and faith leaders. This month, the team will visit Blessed Sacrament and St. Francis De Sales parishes in Manhattan, along with the Oratory of St. Boniface in Downtown Brooklyn. We look forward to inviting more people to be part of the transformative work happening both behind and beyond the prison walls.
